This Addy award-winning logo design for The Crossing was a lot of fun to create. The logo includes the colors, the mix of tradition and modern style, and the distinction of class that the client was looking for in their new apartment complex. The apartment complex is near a historic area of town near the bend in the road at the railroad crossing. This logo was intended to capture that railroad, curve and the direction of progress. Lance LaRue designed this with the team, carefully exploring different ways that the logo could be used for their marketing. In stonework on the building, signage, t-shirts, work shirts, brochures, etc - the logo has to work with different proportions. The end result is a tall and wide version that can be recognized with or without the full name next to the icon. Check out this logo below in a few samples.
